Team Rocket's Ambition is available now; its historical unlock time was August 26 at 6:00 p.m. PDT, or August 27 at 01:00 UTC.
Team Rocket's Ambition is live in Pokémon TCG Pocket on iOS and Android. The expansion unlocked on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. PDT, equivalent to Thursday, August 27 at 01:00 UTC. Pokémon published its “now available” announcement on August 26.
Current status on August 31
The expansion is available now, with Team Rocket's Pokémon and Trainer cards as its central theme. The official launch post also lists these connected releases and events:
- Team Rocket's Boss and Persian collection accessories are listed for August 31.
- Team Rocket's Ambition: The Great Puzzle Challenge runs from August 27 through September 30. Completing its puzzles provides a serial code for in-game pack hourglasses.
- The Team Rocket's Ambition Emblem Event and shady-ticket missions run during broad late-August-to-September windows.
- Special solo battles featuring a Team Rocket's Lapras promo pack are scheduled from early to late September.
- A Fennekin and Meowstic wonder-pick event is scheduled from mid- to late September.
Check the event notices in-game for exact start and end times. The announcement gives broad windows for several events, not a single global daily reset time for each one.
What the launch posts do not establish
The official articles confirm availability, the Team Rocket theme, selected cards, accessories, and event windows. They are not a complete card database, offering-rate table, trade-eligibility list, or competitive ranking. Use the live pack screen for current contents and offering rates, and use Social Hub → Trade → ? → Detailed trade list before planning a trade.
Pokémon Support also says favorited packs reset when a new booster pack is added. If Team Rocket's Ambition is the pack you want to keep selected, check the favorite setting again.
