GAME INTRODUCTION
What to know before you play
Starsand Island is a farming and island-life RPG from Seed Sparkle Lab. Version 1.0 launched August 18, 2026 on Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Its main systems are farming, fishing, animal care, home building, profession quests, relationships, and Moonlit Forest exploration.
Current Steam patch status: Version 1.08.5207, posted August 31, fixes the Senior Explorer block caused by a missing Waterwheel Bearing and an interaction that could remain stuck after feeding Little Sis in some saves. It also addresses relationship-scene issues in Lunelle's, Alex's, and Aurelis' 3-heart scenes and Delphin's 5-heart scene, missing storyline mail at maximum affection in some saves, and wall paint lost after sleeping or loading or reverted while hovering in Build Mode. These are Steam patch-note fixes; the announcement does not confirm that console builds are on the same version.

The official product pages describe farming, fishing, animal care, building, vehicles, relationships, ruins, mining, and combat. Version 1.0 added online multiplayer and expanded relationship content, but console updates can arrive after PC patches because they pass through platform review.
How the island-life systems connect
The official Version 1.0 material groups the game around farming, fishing, building, exploration, animal care, profession quests, commissions, and relationships. These activities share the same island rather than forming separate game modes. In multiplayer, up to four people can farm, fish, explore, build, work on profession quests, and complete requests together, subject to the host's permissions.
What changed with Version 1.0
The full release added online play for four players total. Friends visit a host island, the host controls resource permissions, and each person keeps a separate home-island progression file. Multiplayer Coins come from shared activities and are spent at the Multiplayer Shop.
Relationships also gained three-heart stories and more dating activities. The developer's announcement says 14 NPCs are romanceable in 1.0, while several Early Access guides list 15 Bond-tagged candidates. That disagreement is preserved on the romance page rather than resolved by guessing.
What to check before choosing a platform
Cross-platform multiplayer is not currently supported. Multiplayer uses a host island, and each player keeps separate home-island progress. The developer also warns that PC updates can arrive before console updates because console builds pass platform review. For dated sentiment and sample details, use the player-review analysis instead of treating a changing store score as a permanent overview fact.
