The separately sold Digital Deluxe Upgrade is the relevant comparison for an existing Standard owner—buying the full Deluxe edition again is not the upgrade path described by the publisher.
If a disc matters, wait for the October 6 physical release rather than assuming the September digital launch put a retail copy on shelves. The $149.99 Collector's Edition is a physical merchandise purchase, not a cheaper route to additional gameplay. Before buying any edition for multiplayer, confirm that your group is on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC; the official launch material does not list PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch versions.
